Market Manager Packaging (f/m/d)

Our client is a leading player in the specialty chemicals industry, with a global presence, strong local roots, and family ownership.
The company helps its customers address some of the packaging industry's most pressing challenges: performance, safety, circularity, and sustainability.
To strengthen its marketing team, we are looking for a Market Manager Packaging (f/m/d), based in the Netherlands, Germany or Spain, to identify growth opportunities, shape the market strategy for the packaging business, and translate customer and industry insights into tangible business results.

• Develop and execute the growth strategy for the packaging market segment in close collaboration with Sales, R&D, and Product Management.
• Identify and prioritize new market opportunities, applications, and customer needs across global markets.
• Generate in-depth customer and market insights, monitor industry trends, anticipate sustainability drivers, and analyse competitive dynamics to stay ahead of market developments.
• Develop compelling value propositions and drive the commercialization of new innovations.
• Partner closely with Sales to accelerate business development and drive key customer projects.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements, building relationships across relevant industry networks.

• You hold a university degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemistry, Materials Science, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
• You have a proven track record in marketing, business development, product management, or technical sales within the chemicals, packaging, or related industries, with a clear focus on driving growth.
• You have a strong understanding of the plastics and packaging value chain, including applications, market trends, circularity, recycling, and the evolving regulatory landscape. You are genuinely interested in turning sustainability challenges into growth opportunities.
• You are able to influence and engage stakeholders without formal authority and enjoy collaborating with international colleagues across functions and disciplines.
• You combine an entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and a passion for growth with strategic thinking, a proactive can-do attitude, and a strong focus on results.
• You are fluent in English. Additional language skills, particularly in Dutch, German, or French, are an advantage.
